Goblins Go boom is a game combining old school "Boomer Shooter" movement with a cutesy slapstick aesthetic, play as treasure hunting goblin Rubbel as he wields ancient Arolin magic in a first person dungeon crawling adventure and make use of his elemental magic to defeat foes and use a variety of movement abilities to always gain the other hand.
This game was created using Unreal engine 5 making use of a combination between Unreal's blueprint system and C++ coding. I worked in a team of 11 with a make up of 2 designers, 3 Programmers, 5 artists and 1 writer, over the course of 9 months in our final year at Falmouth university.
During this project I took the role of repository manager and was responsible for the teams usage of the repository and the maintaining of the repository throughout the whole project, additionally i was the programmer in charge of all of the UI and menu aspects of the game giving me a strong understanding of the menus functionality as well as the overall upgrade system giving me an understanding of the combat systems and how to work with my teammates.
