Lonely Woods
Lonely woods is a 2D rogue like game where you play as a dad searching through a magical forest looking for his daughter whilst battling personifications of his addictions.
This game was created for my final year college team project over the course of 3 months with a team of 4 comprised of 1 programmer, 1 designer and 2 artists.
For this project I took the primary programming role as well as supporting our designer when needed.

A little level design

For this project I developed my cross disciplinary skills to create a rogue like game in a small amount of time.
My main focus for this project was the complex level progression system which never repeated a room in succession as well as giving a 3 act game with a rewarding game loop.
Additionally I created the 3 AI enemy types to provide the player with a fun gameplay loop.
This project taught me the importance of team work in the game development space and how important it is for teams to communicate well.
